The Official Blog for NDS Kettlebell Athletics
Umm, Bio-mechanically-Speaking of course... (we all do this time to time)
Do me a favor and Check out the video below that I just posted on Instagram and Facebook yesterday 5/17 for Technique Tuesday... Can you guess what I am doing in those three positions that I shouldn't be doing?
Are you guilty of doing the same thing from time to time or (Gasp!) all the time? Maybe it's time to eliminate it once and for all. Or at least maybe, be a little more conscious of it so that you don't create more problems than you already have?
Now correct me if you think I'm wrong, but I strongly believe trainers, coaches and teachers at ANY capacity should be focusing on instructing their clients and athletes-first and foremost-on the importance of good posture and avoiding what I call 'unnecessary-assisting' or bio-mechanical compensation before even challenging them with ANY resistance or thee latest trendy 'workout-move' designed to shape your ass overnight or transform you into superman in a month. Teaching physical education shouldn't be about throwing around weights and busting your ass to failure.
